Asisto al Cto de España de Adultos con “Gumiel” y al Criterium con “Ulisses”. Mi alumna Arancha Andrés hará las pruebas complementarias para Jóvenes Jinetes con su caballo “Viçoso”.

Emiten en Tele Aragón un precioso reportaje sobre “Gumiel” en el programa “La Madriguera” (se puede ver en Internet en la sección “tv a la carta” de Tele Aragón).

Por segunda vez, el Studbook de Oldenburgo aprueba como “Premium” un potro criado por mi.

• Termino el mes compitiendo en el Cto de Aragón con “Dolce Vita”, “Ulisses”, “Zanzibar” y mis alumnas Arancha Andrés y Ana Ballesta con sus respectivos caballos “Viçoso” y “Kunta Kinte”.

Zanzibar es un KWPN muy completo. Tiene tres magníficos aires, un super físico y un maravilloso carácter.
Me enamoré de él con 3 años por sus movimientos, su físico atlético, su inmejorable carácter y no pude evitar comprarlo y traérmelo a España.
No me equivoqué y tan sólo un año después ganabamos el Cto. De España de Caballos Jóvenes.
Desde entonces se ha ido domando poco a poco y sin grandes dificultades debido a su facilidad física. Es un caballo con fuerza y muy flexible y elástico.
En el 2012 debutó en San Jorge. El objetivo es confirmarlo en el nivel mientras vamos avanzando en los ejercicios de Gran Premio.

Descripción:
Viçoso es un PSL muy bello, con algo de carácter y mucha gasolina. Su buena doma permite que su propietaria Arancha Andrés esté empezando a competir con él en la categoría de Jóvenes Jinetes. Es un gran caballo, con el que Arancha podrá coger experiencia en la competición nacional hasta seguramente el nivel Gran Premio incluido.

Descripción:
Ulisses es un P.S.L. con muchísima fuerza, carácter y personalidad. Éstas características unidas a su habilidad hacen de él un caballo con mucho potencial.
Nació en Portugal en la Ganadería de Manuel Braga y con 4 años fue comprado por su actual propietario.
Llegó a mis manos en el 2010 con algún problemilla de conducta y sin haberse enfocado nunca su trabajo hacia el deporte.
Empezamos lo que iba a ser un cambio drástico para él y fue entonces cuando me sorprendió con su gran capacidad para adaptarse al nuevo trabajo.
Una vez me gané su confianza, empezó a demostrarme el gran caballo que es hoy.
Dos años después lo he debutado con muy buenos resultados en el nivel San Jorge con medias por encima del 65%.
Pero su talento no acaba ahí… su habilidad para el piaffe y el passage hacen que probablemente Ulisses se luzca más en Gran Premio, así que el 2013 será su año de debut en el nuevo nivel.

Descripción:
Pablito es un P.S.L. con muchísima fuerza y super movimientos. Es un caballo atípico y de mucha calidad puesto que tiene las mejores cualidades de un caballo centroeuropeo y a su vez las mejores también del caballo ibérico.
Se empezó un poco tarde pero pronto habrá recuperado el tiempo perdido ya que con 8 años debutará en San Jorge.
Nació en casa de Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza donde lo compró su actual propietario.
Llegó a mis manos en el 2009 y poco a poco empezamos de cero con él. Como buen lusitano, no es fácil pero es un caballo con muchísimas cualidades y potencial que tan sólo necesita tiempo y paciencia para que él gane seguridad en sí mismo. Sin duda es un caballo de futuro de mucha calidad.

Descripción:
Gabanna es una preciosa potra con muy buenos movimiento y super carácter. Su propietario Jose Ramón disfruta muchísimo de ella por lo agradable que es montarla y lo fácil que es de manejo. Su madre, también del mismo propietario desde potra hasta el día de hoy fue una gran yegua, con un piaffe magnífico pero con algo más de carácter que su hija.

Descripción:
Dolce Vita es una potra muy femenina que destaca por su clase y presencia.
Tiene tres buenos aires y mucha suspensión natural, pero lo mejor de ella es la facilidad que tiene para aprender y su predisposición para el trabajo.
La elegancia con la que se mueve y su bello físico hace que no pase desapercibida.
En sus primeras salidas a pista ya ha dado que hablar, asi que tengo muchas esperanzas de futuro con ella sobre todo por la ilusión personal que me hace al ser nacida en mi ganaderia.

La primera vez que la vi en una cuadra de salto, pensé que era un semental por su imponente físico y fuerte carácter. Tenía ya seis años y pasaba por encima de los saltos con una facilidad y una potencia insultante para el resto de los caballos presentes. Dichas cualidades, tres aires fantásticos y unos buenos orígenes hicieron que tomase la decisión de comprarla para criar. Tres años de doma hasta e nivel que en mi opinión era el adecuado como para demostrarme que sí reunía las cualidades para ser madre de mis futuros productos, le dieron la carta blanca para irse a un prado feliz a criar. Esperamos prometedores potros.

Descripción:
Kunta Kinte es un PRE con un super carácter, muy guapo y con tres aires correctos. Su propietaria disfruta muchísimo con él aprendiendo juntos los ejercicios de cada nivel nuevo. Después de su etapa en la categoría de ponis donde fue subcampeona de España, ahora con éste caballo ya ha sido campeona de Aragón en el 2010 y 2011 en la categoría de cadetes. Día a día ambos combinan formación y diversión.

Descripción :
Gumiel es un PRE “Calificado” fuera de lo normal por sus magníficas aptitudes.
Es un caballo tan completo que en él podemos encontrar la belleza, raza y carácter del PRE; también los aires, clase, energía y presencia del caballo de deporte y además transmite todas éstas cualidades a su descendencia.
Nació y se crió en la “Yeguada Los Corrales” propiedad de Dña. Cristina Baquero.
La primera etapa de “Gumiel” fue como caballo para concurso morfológico donde su raza no pasó desapercibida obteniendo muchos premios al “Campeón de la Raza” y acabando finalista varias veces en Sicab.
Con 8 años, se retiró de los morfológicos y me lo enviaron para intentar redirigir su carrera hacia el deporte aun sabiendo que quizás era un poco tarde .
No lo fue! Su potencial físico y psíquico acompañado de la calidad en sus tres aires demostraron 4 años después debutando en Gran Premio que cuando un caballo es bueno, cualquier cosa es posible.

“Gumiel” ha debutado éste año 2012 en Gran Premio, con medias por encima del 65% en competición nacional e internacional.
Éste gran inicio en el nivel Gran Premio demuestra su sobrado potencial para el deporte.
Su hijo “Manchego” también nacido en la “Yeguada Los Corrales” confirma con sus resultados deportivos que “Gumiel” es capaz de transmitir todas éstas cualidades a su descendencia.
“Manchego” ha sido Campeón de España de Doma Clásica y de la Copa Ancce en Sicab en repetidas ocasiones, además del PRE que mejor resultado ha obtenido a día de hoy en un Cto. Del mundo de Caballos Jóvenes.

Chill Out es un potro con un físico imponente, muy buen carácter y mucha fuerza. Es mi primer potro como ganadera y después de un tardío desarrollo, ha recuperado el tiempo perdido demostrando que su tamaño no le impide ser ligero, flexible y atlético. Sus magníficos posteriores y su tendencia siempre cuesta arriba hacen de él un caballo muy agradable de montar.

Me ha sorprendido mucho ya que era la jefa de la manada.

De nuevo podremos ver al binomio formado por "Valegro" y Charlotte Dujardin en una competición internacional, y será en el Olympia de Londres del 17 al 18 de diciembre.

Después de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres, el binomio medallista de oro formado por y Charlotte Dujardin y "Valegro", no se han dejado ver en ninguna competición. Tras un largo período de ausencia estarán de vuelta en las pistas del Olympia de Londres que se celebra a mediados de diciembre.

La británica ha anunciado en su Twitter que tomará parte en esta etapa de la Copa del Mundo de Doma Clásica en Londres. Evidentemente en la silla de "Valegro, se convierte en la gran favorita para llevarse esta competición.
El anuncio paraliza la supuesta venta del caballo, cotilleo de moda desde hace algunos meses. A pesar de los rumores que han circulado, "Valegro", sigue en las cuadras de Carl Hester y parece que al menos se va a quedar ahí hasta diciembre.

Carlos Torrell

These simple words clearly express the great love the Catalan horseman Carlos Torrell feels for our wonderful animals. Now aged 42, we can safely say that Carlos has spent most of his life in contact with horses. Torrell was only 3 years old, an age where most kids start falling off bicycles, when he first rode a horse. It all started in Barcelona, the city where he was born during the emblematic year that was 1968 (the year of the great French revolutionary strike), where he has lived for most of his life and that he loves almost beyond reason. The culprit responsible for his initiation to the world of Dressage is his father, himself a big fan of horses and the only true great master in his life. Young Carlos’ father would take him to a little horse riding school near home every weekend, and so it was that the little boy gradually came to view this experience as more than just a hobby, eventually becoming the 'cavaliere' we know him as today.

Carlos Torrell has many happy and pleasant memories of a childhood which he spent in Barcelona, the city where he has remained almost uninterruptedly his entire life. Only seldom has he left it for extended periods of time.

Carlos complements his work as a professional horseman with horse-training activities in his Dressage School and teaches numerous clinics, both in Spain and abroad, especially in the United States, a country which he loves and visits whenever he can.

A typical day in the life of Carlos tends to start very early, at 6:30 a.m. By the time most of us get out of bed, he has already been riding the horses he keeps in his stables for quite a while, especially during summer, as one needs to make the most of the cool mornings to avoid tiring out the horses in the midday heat, something Torrell is especially attentive to. He carries on training the horses almost uninterruptedly until 2:30 pm, takes a break to eat lunch and rest, and gets back to work. At 4 pm he starts training his pupils. He often runs behind schedule, since despite knowing what time to start, he never knows exactly when the session is going to finish. In addition to all this, Carlos usually supervises the work of his co-workers, makes sure that the next day’s session is organised, and reads and answers emails and telephone calls he hasn’t been able to respond to during the day.

Carlos Torrell is very clear in terms of the qualities a horse must have to be ideally suited for Classic Dressage: "flexibility, elasticity, a good weight to power ratio, three long, high gaits and, above all, the ability to learn and work well with the horseman. All of this is essential; in addition, it is necessary to build an empathetic relationship with the horse to help us communicate with him".

Isabell Werth

Isabell was born on 21 July 1969 at Sevelen (Rhineland) and grew up at Rheinberg with her parents Heinrich and Brigitte Werth and her elder sister Claudia. She attended school from 1976-1989 and after getting her Abitur certificate she took up law studies in the winter semester of 1989. She took her final examinations in 2000 and joined the Oexmann law firm at Hamm. From late 2001 until early 2004 she was in charge of the sponsoring programme at Karstadt Warenhaus AG. In 2004 Isabell set up her own Dressage Training and Show Stable at Rheinberg/Niederrhein.

Isabell Werth is the world's most successful dressage rider. With six Olympic gold medals, seven medals at World Championships, 14 medals at European Championships and a German Champion of eight times - she has well deserved the title of "Dressage Queen". But like most riders, she started from scratch. From a very young age, the life of the future Olympic rider had been accompanied by horses on her parents' farm. At the age of only five, Isabell enjoyed riding on her pony mare "Illa" and a little later, on "Funny", she won her first ribbons - in beige breeches and dark jumper - the black competition jacket was a later addition. At that time nobody was able to foresee that the jacket would once be replaced by a tailcoat.
Isabell Werth: start of a career

Isabell was passionate about jumping and eventing, until "the Doctor" took her under his wings. On New Year's Eve in 1986, when Isabell was only 17, her neighbour Dr. Schulten-Baumer sen., a steel manager and renowned dressage expert, asked her whether she would like to ride some of his horses. Isabell, who was a friend of his youngest daughter Verena, was enthusiastic about this offer and agreed. This was the beginning of a cooperation between coach and rider which was to be unique in the whole world. With each of the Doctor's horses Isabell celebrated triumphal victories, but her best moments were due to Gigolo, the chestnut gelding, who with Isabell Werth in the saddle became the most successful dressage horse of all times.

"Apart from my parents, it surely was the Doctor, who shaped me most" Isabell emphasises, when looking back. "For me he will always be one of the best coaches in the world. And we still phone regularly."
The cooperation between Isabell (who is still a member of the local riding club "Graf von Schmettow Eversael") and her coach and mentor lasted fourteen years. Along with her riding, Isabell went to school ("my favourite subjects were sports and religious education"), took her Abitur examination ("my average score of 3.1 was far from being excellent, but I was probably busy riding at that time�") and started to study law. Also in this field she proved, that success is not only a result of talent and luck, but that it relies on the basic virtues of discipline, diligence and stamina - this holds true in sports and in professional life.

Despite an agenda full to the brim and despite daily dressage training and travels to competitions all over the world Isabell successfully completed her studies. In 2000 she took her final law examinations and for one year worked as a lawyer before starting in the marketing department of her new sponsor Karstadt. Also with regard to her dressage career Isabell was striking new paths at that time. In 2001 she terminated the cooperation with her mentor Dr. Schulten-Bauer. ("The time had come when I had to become more independent."). Temporarily she moved to Mellendorf (near Hanover), to the training stable of the Winter-Schulze family, her friends and supporters. She stayed there for two years, before in 2004, she took the plunge into complete independence: she turned her riding into a profession and established a training stable with 22 loose boxes at her home at Rheinberg. These times of change and rebuilding were also the times of the dressage queen's comeback in the arena. After Gigolo's farewell tour a smooth transition at top level had not been possible, although she was quite successful with Antony FRH and other horses. But with Satchmo and Warum nicht FRH Isabell was finally able to work her way back to the top and embellishing her career on home ground with a double World title at the WEG at Aachen in 2006.

And what about the future? Isabell describes her goals: "To remain in international top sports as long as possible, maybe ten years or so. The future will show, whether in ten years time I'll still want to travel to competitions every three weeks. Probably I will have other priorities at that time. But I am sure that there will always be room for horses in my life."

Anky van Grunsven, geboren op 2 januari 1968 te Erp, kreeg toen zij zes jaar oud was haar eerste pony, de Shetlander Heleentje. In het begin was zij alleen bezig met het poetsen en borstelen van Heleentje. Na de eerste lessen van haar vader, werd zij lid van de ponyclub in Erp. Vanaf haar zevende jaar ging zij landelijke wedstrijden rijden, in zowel springen, dressuur als crossen (SGW). Na het behalen van haar HAVO-diploma besloot zij om professioneel te gaan rijden en lesgeven. Ze kreeg van haar vader een kasboek en hij wenste haar 'veel succes'.

Prisco was haar eerste echte eigen paard. In 1980 reed Anky met hem haar allereerste dressuurwedstrijd in de L-klasse. In 1982 promoveerde Anky naar de Z-klasse.
Het was vallen en opstaan. Echter het succes kwam en na twee EK's voor Young Riders nam Anky in 1988 deel aan de Olympische Spelen in Seoul. Twee jaar later werd het dup voor het eerst Nederlands kampioen.

Anky met Bonfire De komst van Bonfire...
In 1994 werd Anky in Den Haag Wereldkampioene op het onderdeel kür op muziek tijdens de Wereldruiterspelen. Met Bonfire pakte zij vervolgens in totaal negen maal de nationale dressuurtitel. De eerste keer in 1995 in Hollywood, waarbij “Bonfire’s Symphony” als kürmuziek een grote rol speelde. Zes keer won zij de Wereldbekerfinale met Bonfire, een titel die ze later nog driemaal zou pakken.
De kroon op het werk met Bonfire was zonder meer het winnen van Anky's allereerste individuele gouden medaille op de Olympische Spelen in Sydney. Tijdens deze Spelen zat er eveneens teamzilver in, een plak die vier jaar daarvoor in Atlanta ook werd behaald. Bonfire sloot zijn carrière hierna af.

Na het succes van de Olympische Spelen van Sydney volgen er nog twee sportieve hoogtepunten voor Anky. Tijdens de Olympische Spelen in Athene (2004) en Hongkong (2008) pakte ze opnieuw individueel goud, ditmaal met Salinero.
Dankzij Salinero schreef Anky geschiedenis: nooit eerder won een ruiter de titel drie keer op rij individueel goud. Daarmee is Anky de meest succesvolle dressuurruiter aller tijden. Ook won Salinero driemaal de finale van de Wereldbeker.

Eretitels en onderscheidingen
In 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000 en 2004 werd Anky uitgeroepen tot “Ruiter van het Jaar” in Nederland door de Koninklijke Nederlandse Hippische Sportfederatie. Tevens werd ze tijdens het bekende Sportgala geëerd als Sportvrouw van het Jaar in 1994 en ontving hiervoor een Jaap Eden.
In 2001 werd Anky door de KNHS uitgeroepen tot “Ruiter van de Eeuw”. Anky is vanwege haar Olympische successen ook benoemd tot Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau en in de Orde van de Nederlandse Leeuw.

Eigen kleding- en productlijn
Veel aandacht gaat ook uit naar haar in 1999 opgerichte kledinglijn, ANKY® Technical Casuals. In vele landen in een groot deel van Europa, Noord-Amerika, Azië en Australië wordt bij ruitersportzaken het merk verkocht. Het is een complete productlijn voor zowel ruiter als paard.

Tweemaal per jaar wordt er een nieuwe collectie op de markt gebracht. In China is eveneens een ANKY® Fashion-lijn gelanceerd.

En tenslotte het Anky Education Center...
In 2010 werd het geheel vernieuwde Anky Education Center geopend. Een multifunctioneel centrum dat voorzien is van alle gemakken en luxe voor ruiter en paard. Meer en meer binnen- en buitenlandse ruiters en amazones weten hun weg naar Erp te vinden en daarnaast wordt er veel gebruik gemaakt van de digitale leerwegen Training Feedback en E-Learning.
Daarnaast vinden er bedrijfsevenementen plaats en zowel paard- als niet-paardgerelateerde workshops.

To win team gold at the London 2012 Olympics is a dream come true. Standing on the podium was the proudest moment of my life. I am so happy to have shared this team win with Charlotte and Laura who both gave great performances to secure the gold. What a great day for dressage. Seeing the sea of flags and watching the union flag raised and hearing all the cheers and the national anthem was very emotional.

Charlotte winning individual gold was truly amazing, she has made me and the nation very proud.

The team does not stop with us, there are so many people who have helped us achieve this through their support, dedication and hard work and my thanks and gratitude extends to every one of them.

EDWARD GAL

Gal began his equestrian career as a jumper at age 14, beginning with ponies and graduating to larger horses at age 20. However, when he discovered his horse did not like jumping, he switched to dressage. While enjoying solid success in national and international competition, he did not become a truly dominant rider until he began competing with Totilas in 2008. Gal would later say that he and his team understood that Toto was a special horse after their first Grand Prix competition.^[4]
Since then, Gal has replaced his countrywoman Anky van Grunsven as the dominant rider on the world dressage circuit. In July 2009, he and Toto broke van Grunsven's world record score in Grand Prix Freestyle^[5] with an 89.50% mark at Hickstead, England, and shortly thereafter followed it up with another record score of 90.75% in the same discipline at that year's European Championships.^[6] In December 2009, at the fourth leg of the 2009–10 FEI World Cup Dressage series at Olympia in London, they extended their record in GP Freestyle to 92.30%, more than 10 points above the second-place finisher.^[6] While not setting a world record, they easily won that season's FEI World Cup final in GP Freestyle at home in the Netherlands, winning by more than 7 points with a score better than their first world record.^[7] The pair also have a world-record score in the Grand Prix Special discipline to their credit, having recorded 86.460% at Aachen in July 2010.^[2][5]
Gal and Totilas were installed as the overwhelming favorites in the 2010 FEI World Games in Lexington, Kentucky, USA, their first competition outside Europe. Klaus Röser, head of the German dressage team that has long dominated the discipline, said about Gal, "That we can beat Edward; I don't think so, I don't believe so. We have to be realistic."^[4] Röser's assessment proved correct, with Gal and Toto first leading the Dutch team to gold in the team competition, and then easily winning gold in Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle.^[2][3]
In a piece in The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Kentucky that ran before the 2010 Games, dressage trainer Susan Posner pointed out that Toto was only in his second year in dressage despite being 10 years old, and said that his success illustrated how capable Gal was as a rider.^[4]

Juan Antonio Jiménez, natural de Castro del Río, provincia de Córdoba aunque por destinos de la vida llegó a Madrid cuando era un niño.

Toda mi vida está ligada a los caballos, ya que he crecido en el seno de una familia dedicada a los caballos. Mi padre, un profesional de los caballos, fue el que me ha sido de principal ayuda y apoyo en mi carrera.

Mis comienzos fueron en la doma vaquera, entre los años de 1985 a 1988, participando en diversidad de Campeonatos de España de esta disciplina.

Tras recorrer un arduo camino, descubrí lo que realmente me seducía y por tanto me gustaba, la Doma Clásica, fue cuando tuve la oportunidad de ver en directo los Juegos Olímpicos de Seúl, dije: yo tengo que estar ahí, yo sé hacer esos ejercicios..., fue cuando comencé, mi carrera, en la Doma Clásica que se internacionalizó con “Guizo” el caballo de origen Lusitano de la raza Alter Real que más satisfacciones me ha dado en el mundo de la competición, propiedad de la yeguada “La Lira y la W”, abierto el camino, continúo formando caballos para el gran premio, mis próximas creaciones son “Raio” y “Vietkong” caballos lusitanos de una gran calidad con los que continúo en la competición seguido de otros caballos de ganaderos como Capricho, Hechicero, Naomy o Kamai 1 y otros de mi propiedad que lentamente voy domando para el gran premio, es mi pasión y los caballos es la señal que me hace estar vivo.
